Meet the Board
Name: George Horner
Position on board: Chairman
Length of involvement with the Partnership: 10 Years - I started as a member of the Crime and Safety sub group, as well as the Youth sub group and the Education and Learning sub group. After the community decided to form a “partnership” I was involved in writing its objectives and action plan.
Other groups I am involved with: I am a representative to the association of community partnerships, a member of the Learning Net sub group, a member of the Community Chest Grant panel, BCVN steering group and a Co-optee to the Area Forum as well as being involved with Renaissance Market Towns. I also have involvement with Wombwell War Memorial Restoration group, Wombwell Heritage group and Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade Historical Group.

Position on board: Vice Chairman
Length of involvement with the Partnership: 5 Years.
Other groups I am involved with: Chair of Little Dearne Credit Union for the last 18 years, I am a member of the media group set up for the community newsletter and community website, Chair of Trustees for the last 14 years for Hickleton Youth Project, Heald Head Cottage for 25 years, Chair of St Hilda's project for the last 20 years as well as a School Governor for 20 years at Gooseacre Primary school and Dearne Valley College and I am Chair of Governors at the Dearne High School for the last 25 years.

Position on board: Director
Length of involvement with the Partnership: 5 Years.
Other groups I am involved with: I am a member of the media group set up for the community newsletter and community website, a member of St Hilda's project as well as a School Governor at The Hill Primary School and at the Dearne High School . I am also secretary of the Thurnscoe War Memorial group.

Length of involvement with the Partnership: 4 Years.
Other groups I am involved with: I am chairman of Sure Start Thurnscoe Board, a committee member of Thurnscoe War Memorial and Dearne Carnival; I am also a school governor for Dearne High School and am involved in the Dearne Parents schools group.

Position on board: Director
Length of involvement with the Partnership: 2 Years.
Other groups I am involved with: I am involved with the Broadwater Wardens Steering Group, Bolton Dearne Association, Bolton Cemetery Group as well as being involved with Renaissance Market Towns. I also have involvement with most other voluntary Groups.
